Optimax sprit poles for Optimist are designed to offer high performance in racing, with different levels of stiffness and flexibility tailored to the sailor's weight, wind conditions, and sailing style.

Made of dark grey anodized aluminum, they are available in four variants:

•⁠  ⁠MK3 Flex – 26.6 mm: Light, thin, and flexible, mainly suitable for sailors under 35 kg and particularly effective in strong winds.
•⁠  ⁠MK3 – 27 mm: A versatile and comprehensive model, suitable for sailors weighing between 35 and 45 kg and adaptable to various wind conditions.
•⁠  ⁠MK3 Hyperflex – 28 mm: Characterized by high responsiveness and particular flexibility, it flexes and returns to position quickly, helping to maintain an effective sail profile. Especially recommended for experienced sailors.
•⁠  ⁠MK4 – 29 mm: The most powerful and rigid model in the range, recommended for heavier sailors, starting from 45 kg, or for those seeking more power.
