Peak Optimax Optimist MK3 / MK3 Flex / MK3 Hyperflex / MK4

The Optimax mastheads for Optimists are designed to deliver high racing performance, with different levels of stiffness and flexibility tailored to the sailor's weight, wind conditions, and sailing style.

Made from dark grey anodized aluminum, they are available in four versions:

•⁠  ⁠MK3 Flex – 26.6 mm: lightweight, slim and flexible, mainly recommended for sailors weighing under 35 kg and particularly effective in strong winds.
•⁠  ⁠MK3 – 27 mm: a versatile, all-round model, recommended for sailors weighing between 35 and 45 kg and suitable for a range of wind conditions.
•⁠  ⁠MK3 Hyperflex – 28 mm: characterized by high responsiveness and exceptional flexibility, it bends and returns quickly to position, helping to maintain an effective sail shape. Mainly recommended for experienced sailors.
•⁠  ⁠MK4 – 29 mm: the most powerful and stiff model in the range, recommended for heavier sailors weighing 45 kg or more, or for those seeking greater power.

The Optimax range makes it possible to choose the masthead best suited to the athlete's characteristics and the various sailing conditions, offering a specific solution for both lighter sailors and those who need greater stiffness and power.
